HMI Home Health Agency - Career Opportunities

HMI seeks the most qualified person to care for its clients. HMI accepts applications for Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Registered Nurse 

BSN preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Must have a current DC RN license; Home Health experience preferred; At least 1-2 years experience as a nurse in an acute care setting or have Med-surg experience.  Wound care and IV therapy experience preferred; current CPR, physical, PPD/chest x-ray, professional liability insurance and a global police clearance (if it was not completed with the renewal of the RN license). Bilingual nurses are encouraged to apply.  Contractor position.

Physical Therapist

Graduate of a physical therapy school approved by the State Department of Higher Education; The American Physical Therapy Association and licensed by the District of Columbia. Must have at least one(1) year of experience, current CPR, physical, PPD/chest x-ray, professional liability insurance and a global police clearance. Bilingual physical therapists are encouraged to apply. Contractor position.

Occupational Therapist

Graduate of an occupational therapy school approved by the Council of Medical Education or the A.M.A. in collaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.  Must have at least one(1) year of experience, current CPR, physical, PPD/chest x-ray, professional liability insurance and a global police clearance. Bilingual occupational therapists are encouraged to apply. Contractor position.

Speech Therapist

At least a Master’s degree with one(1) year of supervised work experience; Must be certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and licensed by the District of Columbia.  Must have a current CPR, physical, PPD/chest x-ray, professional liability insurance and a global police clearance. Bilingual occupational therapists are encouraged to apply. Contractor position.

Home Health Aide / Personal Care Aide

High School graduate; Home Health Aide Certificate; Experienced in home care or related health care setting preferred. Must have current CPR, physical, PPD/chest x-ray, skills checklist and a global police clearance.  Must be able to work any day and any time. Bilingual aides are encouraged to apply.
