Medical Billing Code Applications Analyst/Healthcare Provider

Applying established general “Medical Billing Code” standard practice, managing all aspects of patient billing insurance claims (Medicare, Medicaid, United Health, Carefirst, BlueCross Blue Shield, Trusted Health Plan, AmeriHealth, PrivatePay), auditing, cash application, collections, accurate accounting reconciliation, and documentation management of company medical billing documents for all patients.

Customize McKesson Home Health Software packages to fit employer’s particular medical practice: analyze particular medical service provided, verify billing based on the correct code application, send invoices to payer, manage accounts receivable, and reconcile the accounts balance with insurance company and other governmental payers.

Act as a technical resource to the company and daily accounting operational staff on the correct application of Medical Billing Code to some difficult cases. Assist in the design and implementation of improved billing systems to facilitate more efficient patient billing, reduce write-offs and improve employer cash flow, prepare reports on patient accounts receivable activities, identify payment variances.  Utilize accounting/finance methodologies and accounting software to maintain a low debt ratio and maximize accounts receivable payments.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting  with 1 year work experience.
